Lady Trojans Beat Troy Christian in Four Sets

BOTKINS- On Saturday, the Botkins Volleyball squad beat Troy Christian in four sets 25-19, 20-25, 25-10, and 26-24 in a non-conference game. 

Sophomore Madison Loy led with six aces and 27 digs. Kaitlyn Meyer's aggressive play with three aces, nine kills and 14 digs propelled the Trojans. Ella Brown added seven kills, while Maddilyn Frey added six kills. Jana Metz had 18 assists and Peyton Platfoot  contributed 22 digs. The Trojans had 15 aces as a team. 

"I am super duper proud of our fight today. They had game point on us in set four and we stayed calm but aggressive and finished it,” said Botkins Head Coach Sara Brown. “We practiced coming from behind and finishing yesterday in practice. I am proud of our effort and togetherness,” Brown added.

Botkins upped their record to 6-7 (1-5 in SCAL) and will welcome Hardin Northern on Tuesday for more non-league play.
